Meaning of these Benefits:

  1. Part A coinsurance & hospital costs

Part A coinsurance & hospital benefit treats the potentially high costs. After you use up your Original Medicare benefits, this Medigap benefit kicks in up to a full year.

  1. Part B coinsurance/copayment

This benefit covers copayments doctors or coinsurance. Other providers normally charge you for Part B.

  1. Blood (first 3 pints)

This benefit will cover you for the first 3 pints that you receive in a year.

  1. Part A hospice care coinsurance

Part A hospice care copayment coverage takes care of all the copayments and hence hospice will be free.

  1. Skilled nursing facility care coinsurance (SNF)

Under the Skilled Nursing Facility, you can avail of supervision from skilled therapy staff or nursing.

All the above-mentioned facilities can be available in a hospital or nursing home. Treatments in SNFs comprises of occupational therapy, audiology, physical therapy, and many more.

  1. Part A deductible

A plan including this particular benefit will completely cover your Part A deductible.

  1. Part B deductible

After covered by this deductible, you can visit the doctor with no up-front fee.

  1. Part B excess charge

With foreign travel coverage, you can enjoy foreign travel.

  1. Out-of-pocket limit

The out-of-pocket limit is basically used with private insurances. The out-of-pocket limit is applicable only on Plans K and L.
